Each year, Women With Knives proudly recognizes one exceptional woman whose grit, heart, and hustle shine in a community full of fierce throwers. This year, we are thrilled to announce that the 2026 WWK BadAss of the Year is Martha Fuhst — a.k.a. Molly Hatchet. “A legacy of courage, fire, and unstoppable spirit.”
Martha wasn’t just part of this community—she ignited it. She embodied everything Women with Knives stands for: courage, growth, resilience, and lifting others higher with every throw.
Over the past several years, Martha pushed herself to new heights—traveling to major events like Dangerfest, Blades Out or Bust, and Battle of the Blade Maidens. She hit personal bests, claimed victories like side hustle wins, and inspired her teammates to step outside their comfort zones. But her true strength wasn’t just in her skill—it was in her spirit.
Martha showed up with a smile, a laugh, and a fire that made everyone around her better. She lived the WWK mission—instilling confidence, building community, and inspiring others to believe in themselves.
Even in the face of life’s hardest challenges, Martha never backed down. She lifted others, she fought boldly, and she lived unapologetically strong.
This award is not just in her memory—it is in honor of the legacy she built and the fire she leaves in every thrower she touched. Martha Fuhst is, and will always be, the definition of a badass.

After years of putting others first—including raising her granddaughter—Sue is stepping back into her own power. Her journey is one of resilience, selflessness, and rediscovery. She inspires everyone around her to keep going—no matter their age or stage in life.
